• Type the “<path>\msiexec.exe”/REGSERVER.
• Press Enter

There are other causes or instances that can cause your computer to continue to have errors occur, and some different viruses infect your computer and cause the Windows Installer to launch every time the web browser is opened. • Reboot your computer in safe mode – restart your computer and press the F8 key before the splash screen shows:
• From the command prompt enter:
  REG ADD “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control|SafeBoot\Minimal
  \MSIServer”/VE/TREG_SZ/F/D”Service” net start msiserver
• Press Enter
