Introduction to virtual memory

Virtual memory is an extension of your computer’s physical memory (Random Access Memory or simply known as RAMs or computer memory chips). In order to be able to run multiple applications simultaneously, your computer looks for sections of RAM that have not been used recently and replicate them onto the hard disk into the form of Page Files.
